Hi, I’m Kristina. I attended massage school in Seattle, after receiving healing bodywork that helped me think differently about how our bodies hold, process, and release trauma. Our physical and emotional experiences live on in us, and caring touch can help us unwind the tension that we often hold unconsciously, until the discomfort becomes too great. I have experienced dramatic, almost miraculous healing effects from bodywork, so I know firsthand how impactful bodywork can be.
In 2026 I completed Thai massage training with the Naga Center in Gresham, Oregon, and I am now offering Thai massage both in my Portland and Vancouver locations. Thai sessions are longer and, in my experience, usually offer more dramatic and lasting impact to the body. Because Thai bodywork tends to be performed fully clothed, the massage can be more dynamic and accessible.
I have studied a variety of massage techniques in addition to Thai, and I incorporate elements of them into all my traditional sessions. I spent several months apprenticing in Abhyanga under an Ayurvedic doctor, and my work is deeply influenced by that sacred, ritualistic style of warm oil massage. In a table massage session, I may also use rocking, compression, tapotement (thumping with hands or fists), passive stretching or joint mobilization, targeted pressure on tension points, and targeted heat using hot stones and hot towels. Please feel free to specify certain techniques you enjoy or dislike, and what regions of the body you want more or less focus on.
A good massage is a holistic healing experience. The mind, emotions, and spirit are directly influenced through our senses. During our session, I am conscious of your sensory and emotional experience. Your nervous system matters as much to me as your muscle tissue. Everything I do is aimed at allowing you to relax on a bone-deep level. When you feel safe and held, which is your natural state, your body can devote more energy toward healing.
